Due to polyamide (PA6 and PA6.6) good chemical and physical properties, polyamide or nylon filter mesh is widely used in industrial filtration, fabricating nylon filter meshes into discs, tubes, custom-shaped pieces, filter bags, etc.

Good impact resistance, resistance to most chemicals, anti-fatigue and better elongation at break, nylon filter mesh is also used for automotive industry, such as diesel filtration, hydraulic filtration...

Nylon filter mesh can be fabricated by sewing into filter bags, flat mesh filter bags, round filter bags (top collar with plastic or steel ring), rating as fine as 3um and as big as 2000um.

Taking 200um micron rated nylon filter mesh for example, it has following parameters

Mesh Count: JPP32T (threads per cm) or 80tpi (threads per inch)
Thread Diameter: 100um
Micron Rating: 200um

Nylon filter mesh with this rating means that particles in the fluid larger than 200um will be retained and captured onto the mesh surface, gradually forming a filter cake which will increase the filtration rate.
